JASON ALDEAN'S CONCERT FOR THE KIDS, MACON GEORGIA

“Jason Aldean Raises $700,000 for Sick Kids in His Hometown Jason Aldean has a soft spot for kids, but especially kids in his home state. The country star returned to his hometown of Macon, Ga., on Aug. 11 to host the second-ever Concert for Kids, raising $700,000 in the process. All of the proceeds will go to the Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital, Navicent Health, which is a dedicated pediatric hospital that provides children access to the clinical services they need. Along with Aldean, the concert also featured fast-rising country star Luke Combs and local singers Maggie Renfroe and Trey Teem. The $700,000 raised at the 2017 event brings the total to $1.2 million over two years, benefiting the development of Macon’s new children’s hospital.”

HOMETOWN CONCERT, MONROE COUNTY FINE ARTS CENTER CONCERT, FORSYTH GEORGIA

“The Monroe County Fine Arts Center had its grand opening in January starting out with just school productions, but the center has opened its doors to professional talent as well. Nicole Butler met up with a hometown band that hopes to pack the performing arts center next week. You may have heard of the Trey Teem Band -- they are a band born and raised in Monroe County whose dreams have just come true. This Friday, the band will be opening for none other than Jason Aldean. "I mean, I think every kid picked up a guitar at 13 and imagined playing at a Centreplex or an arena or somewhere like that, and getting the chance to do that is awesome. We can't wait," Trey Teem exclaims. His brother, Clay Teem, says when the band started up, it was slow, to say the least, thinking this success might never come their way.”

Todd O’Neill Wins Nash Next 2016 Challenge, Signs Big Machine Record Contract.

After months of competition, Todd O’Neill was announced as the winner of Nash Next 2016 last night (Oct. 25) during the grand finale held at Mercy Lounge in Nashville.

Big Machine Label Group and Cumulus Media joined forces in July 2016 to find America’s new country star. Aspiring artists from all over the country vied for the top prize of a major-label record deal with Big Machine Label Group as well as substantial radio play on Cumulus radio stations nationwide.

With close to 1,000 entrants, the field was cut down to 10 finalists from different radio markets across the country. The NASH Next finale saw all 10 of these contestants—Skylar Geer, Murphy’s Ford, Gregor Ross, Ashley Jordan, Alexis Gomez, The Young Fables, Spinn, Trey Teem, Billy Shaw Jr. Band and Todd O’Neill—getting their shot to perform one song for judges Kix Brooks of Brooks & Dunn; Scott Borchetta, BMLG president; Jay DeMarcus of Rascal Flatts; and country singer and The Voice winner Danielle Bradbery.
